<p> 五年前某一天，居住在盖多市的虹宫托亚因为转学，与童年玩伴白鸟优分开。托亚对优做出承诺，表示「自己即使转学也会继续玩《Battle Spirits》」，并互相交换了主要牌组。</p>
<p> 五年后，再次回到盖多市的托亚与优再次对战，却因为转学后没有继续玩《Battle Spirits》，而惨败给优。托亚为了再一次回应优的期待，便下定决心要变强。</p>

<p> 《Battle Spirits 连结斗士》能以和集换式卡牌游戏《Battle Spirits》实体卡片游戏相同的规则来进行游玩。将收录从「转醒篇」至本作发售为止约 1000 种以上的卡片，也将收录「超煌临篇」以前的部分卡片。</p>
<p> 游戏将收录不论卡片游戏初学者或久违游玩《Battle Spirits》的玩家都可以安心的教学内容。游戏中除了收录能体验原创角色透过《Battle Spirits》与他人交流、逐渐变强的故事模式，还能通过网络对战与各地玩家享受极具魄力的线上对战。此外也能带着 Nintendo Switch 主机与好友通过本地对战来进行游戏。</p>
<p> 本作主题曲是创作歌手 majiko 尚未发表的新歌「劫火之星」，让游戏气氛更为火热。</p>
