<p> 游戏有着大量全新内容，这款虚幻4引擎打造的游戏将带领玩家来到阴森恐怖的医院，体验战斗版的“逃生”之旅。《疯狂之源》的故事发生在一家医院，玩家将扮演一名值班医生Riley McClein。游戏开始时主角在正常值班，一声凄厉的女声尖叫划破了宁静的夜晚，于是他便开始寻找尖叫的源头。然而随后出现的恐怖场景却是他怎样也无法想象的……这款游戏的特别之处在于，主角也是一名身患癫痫症的病人。游戏中主角需要不断寻找药物来控制自己的病症，并同时帮助医院中的其他病人。游戏全程以第一人称的视角进行，拿起摄像机探索的玩法与《逃生》十分相像，不过这款游戏中允许玩家进行战斗，而不是一昧逃避。游戏的特色有储物柜和抽屉中随机取得的物品，战斗的方式多种多样，包括近战刀具和徒手攻击，以及威力更大的枪械武器战斗。游戏除了固定的剧情脚本外，还设计了许多意想不到的随机事件，在地图上探索玩家常常需要面临“未知的恐怖”。喜欢解谜元素的玩家可以玩玩。</p>
